In the streaming world, the most important superpower is luring eyeballs to your platform—though adding actual superheroes to your line-up certainly can’t hurt. Thanks to a new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, Tubi is now offering (or will soon offer) a wide range of DC Universe movies and TV series.
Variety broke the news, with a Tubi press release confirming even more details about the new content coming to the ad-supported VOD service, which is owned by Fox Corporation, as part of this partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery.
Right now, you can head to Tubi for on-demand viewing of older movie titles like Batman, Batman Returns, Batman Forever, Superman: The Movie, and Superman II, plus more recent TV series, including Batwoman, Gotham, and Krypton. On December 31, Tubi will add the ‘90s series Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman. Newer DC feature titles will arrive in 2024, and will include Aquaman, Black Adam, Birds of Prey (and the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn), Green Lantern, Suicide Squad, The Batman, Wonder Woman, and Wonder Woman 1984.
“The addition of recent blockbuster movies and fan-favorite series from the DC library is a monumental offering for Tubi viewers,” Tubi’s chief content officer, Adam Lewinson, said in the release. “We’re so pleased to have such wonderful partners at Warner Bros. Discovery who are expanding the reach of their superhero franchise films and series that are destined to draw new audiences and fandoms with Tubi’s highly engaged viewers.”
In case that’s not enough DC in your Tubi, there’s an additional list of titles available on-demand in December that should keep you on the couch for hours, including DC animated movies (Batman: Death in the Family, DC Showcase: Superman/Shazam!: The Return of Black Adam, The Death of Superman, Justice League: Flashpoint Paradox, Son of Batman, and Superman/Batman: Public Enemies), plus TV series like Stargirl and Swamp Thing. Look for more Warner Bros. titles coming next year, too.
